Gigmasters - Auto Renew Scam
I have been with Gigmasters for 5+ years. I decided today that I just didn't think it was worth the money anymore.
I sent a request to customer service to cancel my auto renew, as I feel the site is overcrowded with vendors and is not worth the membership costs. I was told that I had to contact them via phone to stop auto renew. What web based company has no way for a member to cancel via the web. This is a scam to try and get you to stay a member.
No thanks and never again. I believe my credit card company would have something to say about you charging my card after I notified you to cease.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Preferred solution: Stop the auto renew scam.
Gigmasters Cons: Scams to get you to stay, Ranking system for vendors.

I agree 100%, the "auto renew" deal is a scam to make it difficult to cancel subscriptions. Very poor model for their customers.
I signed on with a company that did auto pay and right up front used a specific debit card that I marked. When time came for me to be unhappy I shut the card off.
Same here----Signed up for three months----dead zone for actually getting gigs. I also sent a request to customer service to cancel my auto renew,----they told that I had to contact them via phone to stop auto renew.
Absolutely agree: What web based company has no way for a member to cancel via the web. I feel it is a scammy way to treat musicians, and will not sign up again after this. By the way I have followed it up with calling and emailing more than once----had to leave a message on their line---no return call yet.
Don't bother with Gigmaster, or as they call it now "The Bash". My musician friends said they had little luck with this site also by the way.
