Gigmasters.user agreement at the bottom of their home page says in 1.1 that they do not control the information the people put on the site, they say it can be harmful, not accurate,or possibly deceptive. Then they say in their Gigmaster buyer protection, that the highest degree of professional standard is used.

I checked and out of half the companys I checked on did not even have business license. Trademark infringment and under ground economy is all over the site.

It is my opinion this is NOT THE HIGHEST STANDARD OF Work. READ THE USER AGREEMENT ,they say they are not responsible.People we are trusting our kids to them and giving them our personal information.

Good grief, you don't have to have a business degree, law degree, etc. to be a talented musician.

We are talking about talented artists here; not attorneys, dentists, doctors, etc. Not that they don't have talent, but as a musician I could have degrees in 3 other areas, but one of my talents is as a musician. Just because I am not liscensed in this area does not mean that I am not experienced or exceedingly excellent at what I do.

I have over 70 positive reviews on the internet.

I am a guitarist who has been booking thru Gigmasters since 2009. Whenever a client begins working with me, they always check me out thoroughly before hiring.

I only get positive reviews. Many don't post, but they still tip generously in addition to my fee, so I have to believe they're happy with my work. If you see unprofessional or substandard vendors on the site, simply don't hire them. If you do hire someone - from any site or agency - secure the information necessary to have recourse in the event of poor performance.

I have browsed other musicians' pages on GM and have seen negative reviews posted, so I know it happens.

GM does allow artists to submit rebuttals, but the negative posts remain. Not all vendors have 5 star ratings.
